Aids in the breakdown of organic material.
If you have a yard and like gardening you might consider to have Odormute Composter powder.
It is a bit of a problem sometimes where to put organic yard waste in a well composed beautiful garden. It is a good idea to build a high bed for your plants or just build a 1 m X 1m composter. This way you have turn the yard waste into a rich soil that can be used over again. With this little pile you can add the cuttings and weeds and leaves to the top all the time. Odormute composter formula will add bacteria and enzymes to speed natural break down. This way you will end up with a rich soil faster.
Odormute™ Composter Formula is a blend of both helpful bacteria
and enzymes that provide rapid decomposition of organic lawn
and garden mater to create nutrient rich soil, improving compost.
This highly concentrated formula is non-toxic to live plants, humans,
and animals. Composter Formula is derived from the same bacteria that
live in our soil everyday. These are the helpful microorganisms that
aid in Nature’s breakdown of organic material, part of the cycle
of life!
What Are Enzymes?
Enzymes are non-toxic, non-irritating, and non-hazardous.
Enzymes are found in all living organisms such as plants, animals and bacteria.
Their job is simply to break down organic matter.
Enzymes are simply chemical catalysts that accelerate the
natural biodegrading of organic material such as leaves, cuttings.
When to Compost
Spring is the best time to start composting; microbes become inactive at temperatures of less than 40° F.
1. Start with a pile of no less than 1m x 1mx 1m, this will ensure a large enough pile to retain its own heat and moisture.
2. Mix 1 tablespoon of Composter Formula with 1 gallon of warm water (20-30° C).
3. Saturate the pile with the liquid. It is important to keep the pile moist for microorganisms to best function. Too much water may cause odors. Alternatively, do not allow the pile to dry out, which will set the bacteria into a dormant state, killing off much of the helpful activity.
How to Compost
To achieve best results when mixing different materials in one pile, add each material in 6” layers as follows. The bottom layer should contain the most coarse items such as twigs, corn stalks and cobs, and small wood chips. Add layers of green mater like grass and garden waste, followed by leaves, then more clippings and so on. Finally, add in kitchen waste such as fruit and vegetable peels and skins.
Do not add animal matter – grease, meats, eggs and cheeses. This type of matter can promote contamination or harmful bacteria like salmonella. Never add animal waste which also contains bacteria that may be harmful to humans!
Do not go too high! Five to seven 15 cm layers will provide the best size pile, avoiding over-compacting. Do not pack your pile too tightly as it needs oxygen to properly work. A pile too tightly packed can cause odors. Turn your compost pile regularly, every 2-3 days to introduce oxygen. If you do not have time to do it every 3 days do as you can even once a month or every 2 months. Add more Composter Formula mixture with each new layer and water as necessary to maintain pile moisture.
When is Compost Ready to Use?
At the end you will have a nutrition rich soil.
When your compost is ready, you will know by its rich, earthly smell and dark brown, nutrient-rich appearance. Compost byproduct, humus, can be added to vegetable, fruit and flower gardens to improve the existing soil and the growth of plants, trees, and shrubs. Blended into the soil, nutrients from your humus will be released slowly and naturally. Do not be concerned with "over-composting".
Why is Composter Formula in a Powder Form?
Our Bacteria and Enzymes are dormant in their dry state. This allows the formula to withstand the blending and packaging process and temperature variations during shipping and storage. Digestive activity resumes when the formula is rehydrated with water which activates the enzymes to begin feeding on the nutrients. The powder form is easy to handle, store and is most economical to ship.
Caution
The potential health hazard while using enzyme products is very low. However, take care to avoid breathing of aerosol of enzyme spray. Under appropriate conditions, enzymes can irritate skin through lacerations or irritate the respiratory tract of immuno-compromised individuals. Avoid contact with eyes and open wounds. Do not take internally. As with any cleaning product, wash hands thoroughly after usage.
